still on the air though

Yaesu FT-767GX…bad rotary encoder but can tune via keypad entry or desk mic (upgraded to FT-1000D working great – also installed HRD software)

80M Carolina Windom & Alpha Delta Sloper…won’t tune 10 Meters (Windom replaced with G5RV – working much better)

Mosley TA-53M…one driven element missing after screws backed out (Mosley repaired plus new coax and rotor cable run)

Icom R71A…once it is warm doesn’t receive signals below ~8 MHz

Even with all my current equipment issues I’ve managed to make more contacts (40M, 17M, 12M, 10M) in the past several weeks than I have in several years plus log a few pirate stations.

About Marcus

Who me? Introverted, neurotic, self-absorbed, increasingly cynical observer of human nature and part time social critic in hiding. Most of my life spent avoiding growing up. The naive idealistic passions of youth have evolved into the eclectic eccentricities of adulthood. Northeast Florida small-town native, related to people I can't relate to. Simultaneously my own best friend and worst enemy. Politically and spiritually unaffiliated, my personal ideologies put me all over the map or off it completely.
