‘Art washes away from the soul the dust of everyday life.’ – Pablo Picasso

Is it dust or something else which accumulates on our lives? More likely layers of regret, wishes and what-ifs. The open mind, undistracted by what current pop culture thinks is important, travels more slowly thru life, more open to whatever the senses detect. Thoughts pile up after time which you sometimes get lost in. Then they are stripped away by experiencing a good work of art. Music, literature, painting, scultpture, plays or movies can each succeed in cleansing your view.

About Marcus

Who me? Introverted, neurotic, self-absorbed, increasingly cynical observer of human nature and part time social critic in hiding. Most of my life spent avoiding growing up. The naive idealistic passions of youth have evolved into the eclectic eccentricities of adulthood. Northeast Florida small-town native, related to people I can't relate to. Simultaneously my own best friend and worst enemy. Politically and spiritually unaffiliated, my personal ideologies put me all over the map or off it completely.
