I carry a book/music wish list in my wallet and while shopping yesterday came across a CD I’d wanted for a long time- ‘Ahead Rings Out’ by Blodwyn Pig. Led by Mick Abrahams, the guitarist for the first Jethro Tull album, who parted ways with Ian Anderson and headed deep into the blues/jazz area Jethro Tull initially dabbled in but abandoned in favor of whatever Ian had in mind. Blodwyn Pig put out just two albums and along with the first album by the group Colosseum(alumni of John Mayall) have a “sound” that wasn’t too common in that age of psychedelia but I find enjoyable today.

About Marcus

Who me? Introverted, neurotic, self-absorbed, increasingly cynical observer of human nature and part time social critic in hiding. Most of my life spent avoiding growing up. The naive idealistic passions of youth have evolved into the eclectic eccentricities of adulthood. Northeast Florida small-town native, related to people I can't relate to. Simultaneously my own best friend and worst enemy. Politically and spiritually unaffiliated, my personal ideologies put me all over the map or off it completely.
