Did your high school graduating class have “Senior Superlatives”?(Most Likely to______, etc.) Mine did and I’ve often wondered if the selections made by my classmates our senior year had any real significance. Were the choices somehow made with some sort of special youthful insight as to how a person would turn out or was it just something we did out of tradition?
My curiosity was satisfied a little when one of my classmates made the news in this recent Police report from my hometown-
Nov 9, 2008
Shortly before 12:30 a.m. an officer observed a…truck…drifting within its lane. Believing the driver may be intoxicated the officer stopped the truck. When the officer spoke with the driver, he noticed her speech was slurred. She admitted to drinking earlier in the night, but stated she had taken prescription drug Soma after drinking beer.
The driver told the officer she had the prescription bottle in the truck and gave permission for the officer to retrieve it. While the officer was retrieving the medicine, several hand rolled cannabis cigarettes were seen lying in the open. A further search of the truck revealed a baggie of cannabis, rolling papers and an additional cannabis cigarette.
N**** ***** ****, 52…was booked into jail for Possession of Cannabis and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
Guess who is pictured behind bars in our 1974 high school yearbook in the Senior Superlative section? Yep, the same N**** ***** ****.
