Always have an escape plan

Somebody named Hillary something-or-other from New York is coming to town today. The main intersection of Trade and Tryon streets is to be closed from 4:00-7:00PM for some sort of rally. The building where I work is located at the corner of Trade and Tyron. In case of bad weather the rally will move three blocks to the Bobcats arena. The train station for my daily commute is adjacent to the arena.

Oh joy.

About Marcus

Who me? Introverted, neurotic, self-absorbed, increasingly cynical observer of human nature and part time social critic in hiding. Most of my life spent avoiding growing up. The naive idealistic passions of youth have evolved into the eclectic eccentricities of adulthood. Northeast Florida small-town native, related to people I can't relate to. Simultaneously my own best friend and worst enemy. Politically and spiritually unaffiliated, my personal ideologies put me all over the map or off it completely.

might have suggested you take a “sick day” but the point is moot now. hope you were able to walk in this morning through freshly scrubbed sidewalks….at minimum.
