you madam/sir, offend me (edited to repair dyslexia)

Against my stated objection, our nephew (in his mid-thirties) sent us a copy of ‘Borat’ as a gift. I told him I really had no desire to watch but wanting to keep an open mind and not seem ungrateful we gave it a try last night. Less than 15 minutes after starting we gave up. Ugh.

Speaking of ‘Ugh’, Anita Hill and Clarence Thomas. At the time of the original brouhaha, my thought was at least one of them was lying but I strongly suspected them both of bending the truth. Or in other words, if it was only the two of them in an elevator and one of them farted everybody would know who did it. But seeing how they invited a third party along for the ride (we the public) we were not sure who passed the gas. The only thing we knew was that something smelled bad.

About Marcus

Who me? Introverted, neurotic, self-absorbed, increasingly cynical observer of human nature and part time social critic in hiding. Most of my life spent avoiding growing up. The naive idealistic passions of youth have evolved into the eclectic eccentricities of adulthood. Northeast Florida small-town native, related to people I can't relate to. Simultaneously my own best friend and worst enemy. Politically and spiritually unaffiliated, my personal ideologies put me all over the map or off it completely.
