I need to visit a brain-optometrist for my minds-eye

I don’t think I’m seeing things the way I should or at least the way others perceive them. Today at a local car show one of the “attractions” were three Hooters Girls selling raffle tickets and selecting which entry they liked best to receive a special award. While other car owners made sure they and their vehicles were photographed with one or more girls I sat back and wondered why the girls sent by Hooters weren’t the stereotypical overly-bountiful, ripe looking, come-hitherish girls we normally see in all the Hooters advertising. These girls, and yes I would use the word ‘girls’ and not young women, didn’t measure up to my definition as jail-bait given their probable age.

Maybe if I visited a Hooters restaurant with a bunch of guys and had some wings and several pitchers of beer I’d see things differently.

About Marcus

Who me? Introverted, neurotic, self-absorbed, increasingly cynical observer of human nature and part time social critic in hiding. Most of my life spent avoiding growing up. The naive idealistic passions of youth have evolved into the eclectic eccentricities of adulthood. Northeast Florida small-town native, related to people I can't relate to. Simultaneously my own best friend and worst enemy. Politically and spiritually unaffiliated, my personal ideologies put me all over the map or off it completely.
