The Underground Press in Charlotte NC

The ‘Inquisition’ 1969, Volume I issue 6

Articles on draft resisters, astrology, sexual mores, black culture(interview with Ben Chavis), America’s Vietnam policy, satire, record album reviews, poetry, fiction, artwork, description of legal alternative to drugs (daydreaming – with warning that large doses can cause you to lose touch with reality but on the plus side it isn’t constipating), interview with Vanilla Fudge after a local concert performance, opinions and observations (focused on various Charlotte inhabitants and mostly negative), advertisement for local Charlotte music stores and head shops – all contained in just 44 pages.

Paid $2.00 at a local antique shop.

Nostalgia value? Priceless.

About Marcus

Who me? Introverted, neurotic, self-absorbed, increasingly cynical observer of human nature and part time social critic in hiding. Most of my life spent avoiding growing up. The naive idealistic passions of youth have evolved into the eclectic eccentricities of adulthood. Northeast Florida small-town native, related to people I can't relate to. Simultaneously my own best friend and worst enemy. Politically and spiritually unaffiliated, my personal ideologies put me all over the map or off it completely.
