where I wish I had been 38 years ago this week…

Instead, I was camping with my family in a State Park (Cloudland Canyon I believe) in the mountains of north-west Georgia preparing for my teenage years, as I turned 13 on that August the 18th. This is the most exciting piece of concert footage I’ve seen. In fact when I first saw the movie during my junior year of college during a weekend run on campus it turns out to be the only movie in my entire life (so far) that caused me to go watch again the very next night primarily because of Santana’s performance.

About Marcus

Who me? Introverted, neurotic, self-absorbed, increasingly cynical observer of human nature and part time social critic in hiding. Most of my life spent avoiding growing up. The naive idealistic passions of youth have evolved into the eclectic eccentricities of adulthood. Northeast Florida small-town native, related to people I can't relate to. Simultaneously my own best friend and worst enemy. Politically and spiritually unaffiliated, my personal ideologies put me all over the map or off it completely.

  1. That was excellent. I need more Santana in my life. Thank you.

I saw him interviewed once, or read in an interview, where he said he was tripping during this performance and thought his fingers were snakes.
