cause cheap is how I feel

Item #1 After months of commuting to the sounds of Electronica, Techno, Drum ‘n Bass (Prodigy, Chemical Brothers, Orbital, Spring Heel Jack, Moby, etc) I decided to try some Cowboy Junkies today and found it very relaxing to drive while getting in touch with my inner melancholy. Sorta like country music…on heroin(?) well, so much for the Junkie reference. Think I’ll switch to Neil Young and some Live Rust tomorrow.

Item #2 It used to be all about me. mainly in my own words, but I’ve noticed while it is still all about me, I’ve mostly switched to using quotes I come across while reading that I can relate or identify with somehow. What am I talking about? My paper journal-after hundreds of pages documenting my own thoughts, beliefs, observations, since I began reading heavily I started to fill the pages with the wisdom (as I see it) of others.

About Marcus

Who me? Introverted, neurotic, self-absorbed, increasingly cynical observer of human nature and part time social critic in hiding. Most of my life spent avoiding growing up. The naive idealistic passions of youth have evolved into the eclectic eccentricities of adulthood. Northeast Florida small-town native, related to people I can't relate to. Simultaneously my own best friend and worst enemy. Politically and spiritually unaffiliated, my personal ideologies put me all over the map or off it completely.

Huh. I remember what Dan Briggs looked like, but I didn’t remember that he had a different name.
