cut-up B.S.

do you think any girl in the world loves you
she could have easily known me better
she said you don’t change at all
but I do and let her think you’re strange

(hint-it’s a technique)

About Marcus

Who me? Introverted, neurotic, self-absorbed, increasingly cynical observer of human nature and part time social critic in hiding. Most of my life spent avoiding growing up. The naive idealistic passions of youth have evolved into the eclectic eccentricities of adulthood. Northeast Florida small-town native, related to people I can't relate to. Simultaneously my own best friend and worst enemy. Politically and spiritually unaffiliated, my personal ideologies put me all over the map or off it completely.

  1. Hello…
I dropped by to pick up a reason.

  2. I love Herb Alpert and remember that album cover well. But-
What on earth do you mean- ‘that’s a technique’? It looks like lyrics to an unknown song to me…

‘cut-up technique’ – taking varous source material then cutting/splicing/rearranging them into something “new”. (certain writers work that way – William S. Burroughs may be the most famous)
I had the lyrics from two different Buffalo Springfield(B.S.)songs in my head and thought I’d give it a try. I like certain kinds of wordplay.
