ORMEC(Organization of the Reflective Materials Exporting Countries) today announced a planned 25% decrease in the production of Crude Shiny Stuff or CSS. CSS is primarily used in the manufacture of mirrored surfaces. Experts predict the biggest impact will be felt by the cosmetics industry. Retailers caution that rationing might be implemented if hoarding is detected as fashion models and other consumers wait in lines for hours at the counters this holiday season.
Retail music stores are bracing for an onslaught of women buying extra Bon Jovi CDs as a substitute for the small mirrors normally found in make-up compacts. (see photo)
