yes, I lied

I did NOT start reading Kerouac’s “The Subterraneans” like I mentioned earlier. While at the library this morning I first found an older copy of “The Stranger” by Albert Camus in the Adult fiction section then located a newer translation on the Young Adult shelves. Finished it by 4:30 this afternoon. Very interesting book. Made me stop and ponder a few things about myself. I’ve often said timing is everything and once again it seems relevant.

In today’s mail another out-of-print novel by Richard Brautigan arrived via The weather is expected to worsen but I have plenty of firewood, homemade cinnamon rolls, iced mocha mix and reading material.

About Marcus

Who me? Introverted, neurotic, self-absorbed, increasingly cynical observer of human nature and part time social critic in hiding. Most of my life spent avoiding growing up. The naive idealistic passions of youth have evolved into the eclectic eccentricities of adulthood. Northeast Florida small-town native, related to people I can't relate to. Simultaneously my own best friend and worst enemy. Politically and spiritually unaffiliated, my personal ideologies put me all over the map or off it completely.
