the wrong type of “real” life

Reading thru the morning paper during breakfast, once again I failed to recognize anyone featured or mentioned who I know on a first name basis.(no surprise there) I then looked at an advertising insert from one of the local big name real estate companies to see just how over-priced houses were these days and recognized two realtors who were featured. The first was the guy who we listed our house with when we moved out of Charlotte 14+ years ago(it sold in 11 days) and the other is a woman who lives in my neighborhood.

My personal “network” of people I know consist of realtors and baristas at Starbucks. Yeah, I think I know someone who needs a life.

About Marcus

Who me? Introverted, neurotic, self-absorbed, increasingly cynical observer of human nature and part time social critic in hiding. Most of my life spent avoiding growing up. The naive idealistic passions of youth have evolved into the eclectic eccentricities of adulthood. Northeast Florida small-town native, related to people I can't relate to. Simultaneously my own best friend and worst enemy. Politically and spiritually unaffiliated, my personal ideologies put me all over the map or off it completely.
