Tis the season to be ignored

The Regional Director called today and asked if I would be attending the company xmas party. (tomorrow night, requiring a 250 mile drive and overnite stay)

I replied, “What party?”

The R.D. expressed surprise that I hadn’t received the email. They then forwarded the original email, albeit with all the header information “stripped”.

Sparing you the details, I was left off the original email list. I know this because I later called a co-worker and had them forward me a copy of the original email they received.

Based on experience there went my only opportunity for any seasonal activity.

About Marcus

Who me? Introverted, neurotic, self-absorbed, increasingly cynical observer of human nature and part time social critic in hiding. Most of my life spent avoiding growing up. The naive idealistic passions of youth have evolved into the eclectic eccentricities of adulthood. Northeast Florida small-town native, related to people I can't relate to. Simultaneously my own best friend and worst enemy. Politically and spiritually unaffiliated, my personal ideologies put me all over the map or off it completely.
