non sequitur

I’m sure glad hockey season is over

I’m sure glad HOCKEY season is over
I’m sure GLAD hockey season is over
I’m sure glad hockey season is OVER
I’m SURE glad hockey season is over
I’M sure glad hockey season is over

Sometimes you discover a sentence so completely out of place and seemingly irrelevant to the moment you imagine it has some hidden meaning waiting to be discovered. You write it down so you won’t lose it. Then you forget all about it and after much time goes by, you find the scrap of paper where you’d written it in a copy of “The Doors Of Perception” by Aldous Huxley which you had pulled off the bookshelf to reread.

This would be the “O” part of OCD.

About Marcus

Who me? Introverted, neurotic, self-absorbed, increasingly cynical observer of human nature and part time social critic in hiding. Most of my life spent avoiding growing up. The naive idealistic passions of youth have evolved into the eclectic eccentricities of adulthood. Northeast Florida small-town native, related to people I can't relate to. Simultaneously my own best friend and worst enemy. Politically and spiritually unaffiliated, my personal ideologies put me all over the map or off it completely.
