I wonder why I never read like this in school?

I set out at the beginning of the year attempting to read one book a week. Number 52 was completed yesterday so I know I’ll surpass my goal. “The Pedant and the Shuffly” by John Bellairs. (still not clear on what a “Shuffly” is all about) A slim book with lots of artwork I’ll admit, but by the same author who gave us “St. Fidgeta and Other Parodies”; a hilarious look at the practices of the Catholic church that even someone like me with a mere Protestant upbringing could understand and enjoy. I read where he concentrated on young adult fiction and fantasy after those earlier two books.

About Marcus

Who me? Introverted, neurotic, self-absorbed, increasingly cynical observer of human nature and part time social critic in hiding. Most of my life spent avoiding growing up. The naive idealistic passions of youth have evolved into the eclectic eccentricities of adulthood. Northeast Florida small-town native, related to people I can't relate to. Simultaneously my own best friend and worst enemy. Politically and spiritually unaffiliated, my personal ideologies put me all over the map or off it completely.
