dykes and dikes

Waiting for last night’s ‘House’ rerun to begin, a commercial came on the TV showing Richard Simmons and his frizzy, weedy looking hair. I made some comment about Richard needing to choose a hair style, anything other than that blown out, curly mess on his head now. My wife then spoke up and said what Richard really needed to choose was a sex. Female or male, just pick one and go with it.

All the news headlines and reports I’ve read recently about how much worse an act of nature becomes because of man’s attempts to protect himself from natural disasters and now the man-made disaster that is about to take place when the problem as it sits now is pumped out to very likely destroy everything it touches elsewhere strengthens my belief this planet would be a lot better off without humans.

About Marcus

Who me? Introverted, neurotic, self-absorbed, increasingly cynical observer of human nature and part time social critic in hiding. Most of my life spent avoiding growing up. The naive idealistic passions of youth have evolved into the eclectic eccentricities of adulthood. Northeast Florida small-town native, related to people I can't relate to. Simultaneously my own best friend and worst enemy. Politically and spiritually unaffiliated, my personal ideologies put me all over the map or off it completely.

I love Richard but it’s true, he really needs a makeover. Hey that’s it, maybe someone can hijack him to one of those extreme makeover shows. It would be extreme ya know.

Does your wife have a blog too? Very insightful.

As far as I know she doesn’t have a blog. She is heavily into email and mailing “list” sites to post/share her views and thoughts mainly related to raising our dogs. She knows I have an online journal but didn’t seem interested when I told her.
