Am I a valued customer or a worthless burden?

With the apparent success of the “do not call” registry, annoying sales calls have almost ceased EXCEPT from companies I do business with. Those pesky (only two) credit card issuers. I’m one of those fiscal conservatives who has never burdened themselves with credit card debt and pay off the balance every month. Yet I’m bombarded with mail and calls offering protection services and the ability to transfer unpaid balances from one card to another. I think they are just trying to figure out how to make some money off me, something no credit card company has done since I first started using them in 1978. I wonder, given the choice, would they dump me as a customer?
