some programmer has their priorities in order

Looking thru the TV guide section of today’s paper I see most of the major networks, including one of the local PBS affiliates, have pre-empted their schedules to run some political programming. The networks should rotate who carries this sort of thing. And before anyone raises a shout about some viewers having limited television reception, I would remind them to turn on the radio because there are always several AM stations with coast-to-coast coverage carrying the “speech”. (not to mention local radio, satellite, print, Internet…mass communication DOES exist apart from TV) Thankfully at least one station (WUNG, part of the UNC-TV network) is running the final two hours of a six part documentary on Auschwitz. For anyone planning to watch the State of the Onion instead, I refer you to George Santayana and one of his well known quotes.

About Marcus

Who me? Introverted, neurotic, self-absorbed, increasingly cynical observer of human nature and part time social critic in hiding. Most of my life spent avoiding growing up. The naive idealistic passions of youth have evolved into the eclectic eccentricities of adulthood. Northeast Florida small-town native, related to people I can't relate to. Simultaneously my own best friend and worst enemy. Politically and spiritually unaffiliated, my personal ideologies put me all over the map or off it completely.
