What was up with the VP candidates debate last night? No, I didn’t hear any of it but as the TV was muted and my wife was flipping to see if something worthwhile was on she commented that each network carrying the debate had their “color” settings different. Switching channels, she showed me where Cheney/Edwards were pink, tan, orange, olive, pale etc. depending on the network. I think it was some sort of attempt at subliminal appeal to various racial groups. (assuming caucasian have sub-groups) She was impressed that as bald as Cheney is, his head wasn’t “shiney”.

One of the benefits of business travel is visiting used book stores when I’m on the road. I’m off to Winston-Salem where (in addition to my appointment) I hope to find something at Encore Books or Edward Mckay.

About Marcus

Who me? Introverted, neurotic, self-absorbed, increasingly cynical observer of human nature and part time social critic in hiding. Most of my life spent avoiding growing up. The naive idealistic passions of youth have evolved into the eclectic eccentricities of adulthood. Northeast Florida small-town native, related to people I can't relate to. Simultaneously my own best friend and worst enemy. Politically and spiritually unaffiliated, my personal ideologies put me all over the map or off it completely.
