‘Bush Says Concerned About Democracy in Russia’
He should be more worried about “Democracy” in this country. We’re losing it faster than any other place I can think of.
‘U.S. Rebukes Saudis Over Religious Rights’
Who in their right mind would want to impose sanctions against another country because they violate “religious freedom” when that country is in a position of power by holding most of the world’s oil assets? I suspect election-time posturing. This is the same administration that is courting conservative religious groups who want to impose their agenda on our entire way of life.

About Marcus

Who me? Introverted, neurotic, self-absorbed, increasingly cynical observer of human nature and part time social critic in hiding. Most of my life spent avoiding growing up. The naive idealistic passions of youth have evolved into the eclectic eccentricities of adulthood. Northeast Florida small-town native, related to people I can't relate to. Simultaneously my own best friend and worst enemy. Politically and spiritually unaffiliated, my personal ideologies put me all over the map or off it completely.

It’s sickeningly ironic that we are waging a war against religious fundamentalists while our president snuggles up with the American version here and doesn’t see them as evil.
Fundamentalists are fundamentally wrong, and their agenda has no place in politics here in America. I shouldn’t even get myself started on our president’s fitness to discuss the religions of other countries.
