…today continued.

Some shopping was accomplished later. Bought a pair of ‘Skechers'(my first) at one of those overstock and leftovers clothing stores. All new name-brand/logo merchandise aimed primarily at the generally younger “hip-hop” shopper. But not me! Walked out with something normally worn by someone less than half my age. I’m not proud and you definitely won’t see me strolling through middle-age wearing a pair of leather loafers with tassels! Also picked up two music CDs. An Ornette Coleman CD(Ornette!) and one by Kraftwerk(Computer World). Used, I will admit. Even though I sorely miss Napster, I haven’t downloaded any music from the Internet since Napster’s demise but buying “recycled” music is my way of protesting high prices from music companies. Avant-garde “free” jazz from 1962 and 1981 German techno-pop. There is a fine line between eclectic and eccentric. Sometimes I’m not sure on which side I reside. Both maybe?

About Marcus

Who me? Introverted, neurotic, self-absorbed, increasingly cynical observer of human nature and part time social critic in hiding. Most of my life spent avoiding growing up. The naive idealistic passions of youth have evolved into the eclectic eccentricities of adulthood. Northeast Florida small-town native, related to people I can't relate to. Simultaneously my own best friend and worst enemy. Politically and spiritually unaffiliated, my personal ideologies put me all over the map or off it completely.
